Refund Rules

Notion does not offer refunds for prepaid annual subscriptions. Monthly subscriptions can be cancelled at any time, but no prorated refunds are given for partial months. Downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle. Members removed mid-cycle continue to have access until the next billing period without refund.

Credit Policies

Notion provides service credits for significant downtime (>4 hours) at 1:30 ratio (1 hour downtime = 30 hours credit). Credits are automatically applied to next invoice. No credits for scheduled maintenance or minor outages. No credits for unused seats or capacity - billing is per-seat regardless of usage levels.

Contractual Terms

Monthly plans have no commitment and can be cancelled anytime. Annual plans auto-renew unless cancelled 30 days before renewal. Enterprise contracts typically have 1-3 year terms with 90-day cancellation notice. Price increases limited to once per year with 30-day notice. No seat minimums on standard plans, but Enterprise may have negotiated minimums.

Technical Notes

REST API with good documentation. Bearer token authentication via internal integrations. Rate limit of 3 requests/second average. Key limitation: Integration only sees content it's explicitly shared with - requires workspace admin to share all pages for full visibility. No direct 'last active' data - must derive from page edit timestamps. API returns user lists but activity analysis requires cross-referencing page creation/edit data.
